When the Muppet Madness Tournament came down to two competitors, Rowlf and the Count, it was anyone’s game. If the Count won, it would be a great tribute to Jerry Nelson, and if Rowlf won, it would be a great statement to Disney that we want this character that is very much Jim Henson in Muppet form back into the spotlight with Kermit, Fozzie, Piggy, and Gonzo. It was a win/win situation, and the winner turned out to be Rowlf!
